Been a long time since I posted. I attribute this to the fact that I had two really busy weekends and then my general laziness. I'm back to writing though, which is good. I don't know how much "back to writing" means, however, as I wrote about half of that last part (vii) before all of the business happened. Let's review though, shall we?

Business I: Lollapalooza: This was just a great weekend. My friend Kyle came in to town and stayed at my place for the weekend and we had an amazing time at the festival. We didn't see all of the same bands, but it was pretty close. The beauty is that Kyle likes a wide variety of music and is adventurous when it comes to new music - much like I am. So while other guys I know wouldn't have been as interested in going to a weekend full of bands that they hadn't heard of, he was up for it. All I had to say was "hey, I've heard of these guys, let's go see them" and he was down with it. What a trooper. Lots of highlights, but I was proud of the fact that I got up to the fifth row for Muse - they're such an awesome band, and they're designed for stadiums and festivals. craziness.

Business II: Wedding: Two of my good friends finally got married. This was a big deal, as they've been engaged for as long as I've known them. So I had to go back down to NC for the wedding and had a lot of fun with my friends from college who rarely get together anymore. It was a good time, even if it did remind me how miserable I am right now. Nothing like seeing all of your friends getting married to remind you that you're in a city where you don't know anybody.

So that's what's been going on. The summer is officially over for me, which means that I have to re-double my efforts in search of a job. Hard to believe that I've been free-loading it at my brother's apartment for over three months already. Actually, that isn't hard to believe - I'm a lazy bum and I have no marketable skills. You'd think that an advanced degree would make you qualified to work someplace...
